I think that covered porch will be what they most enjoy about this house.

I hope so. I know it's wasted space on ours. We may sit out a couple times a year. Actually plan to tear my entire back deck off after this project and build a porch possibly screened in.

Base frame is almost complete. Stinking hot out here. Trying to stay hydrated.

One thing I might add as an idea. When we built our cabin, under the porch posts, we placed slices of plexiglass. Idea was to keep water from wicking up.
