I've been working on this design for the last few weeks; after turning down $1,000.00 for the last pig hunter with Sanbar Stag handle, Alabama Damascus Steel (it was more of a show knife) I decided to make one designed specially for the pig hunter made to get bloody.
It's 52100 ball bearing steel 3/16ths thick 60 H.C. blued to help in rust prevention. OAL is 13 inches, tip to brass guard is 8". I wanted a handle that was not going to be slippery so I made the burlap micarta handle myself. The guard is big enough to prevent hand from slipping on to the blade. The sheath is thick 12oz oil tanned water buffalo. It should make one heck of a pig killing machine.
