I like the idea of the bolts to stop rattling. I have ramps that double as the sides on my trailer and the make a helluva racket

Thanks for all the kind words!

Took a load to the ranch this weekend and tested the ramps.

            Worked like a charm!

The ranger loaded very easy with no clearance issues and the ramps were silent while going down the dirt road.

Well done. I just finished turning my big gate in to 3 ramps. May have to make a tailgate like this now.

                  Nice design and good build.

Maybe I missed it but what’s the purpose of the bolts sticking out of the bottom?

Bring it to the house we’ll use yours for the experiment, then we can do mine!

                            1) it keeps the ramps from rattling. If you had a 1.5" angle iron channel like the ones located on the sides then the ramps would lay flush inside them. As it sits I only have a small 3/4" channel so the ramps rest on top.

                            2) it makes them stronger should a load shift to the back of the trailer and push on the ramps. They are probably not needed but they do give piece of mind.
