      Man that's big and really nice! But you're gonna have to get a larger Christmas tree if you're going to to have it near that table

              Are you going to apply some sort of coating to fill in the gouges? If not, how will you clean stuff that gets spilled on it? It is a great looking project, just curious about upkeep

                I have 2 coats of kinda heavy water based clear coats in a satin finish. The gouges are still there but not don't really snag on a rag.
                I didn't want a shiny finish so the thick leveling bar top coatings were not part of the options.
                It's not smooth like a prefab table for easy cleanup but I didn't want that look.
                This table makes you want to touch it.

                  I was able to get consecutive planks and lined them up as the came out of the rail car so all the gouges line up.
