Had a pretty good sized pecan lay over in the bottom last year and just got around to cutting it up. I saved 12'+ of the trunk for live edge slabs, cut my wife a 32" across by 6" thick butcher block out of it, and carved a 36" tall cross out of one of the limbs. I have not taken any pics of the live edge lumber yet, but plan on making a 10/4 live edge bookmatched dinner table for my mother in law out of some of it. Thought you'd enjoy seeing the start of some of the projects I've got in mind for it.....

If you want to expedite the process you could incorporate a reciprocating saw with 8'' blade and 7'' angle grinder with 36 grit paper wheel on it as I did. Neither are necessary to complete the task but using them will save time. Thanks for the compliments!
