would a ground wire dissipate the static? Alligator clip from the can to some re-bar in the ground? Just a thought.

Alright now, All you guys better not be complaining about not seeing any deer come deer season. You can not tell me that those things are supper loud when they are running. I Mean the leaf blower, not the deer running. Love the concept of easy way to get corn in a feeder, but if it takes 3 full minutes to get 300lbs of corn in a feeder, I would have to run that baby 20 minutes long just to fill up my a feeder on my ranch.

I know a guy that built one and got the shock of his life, after that he dropped a chain on the pvc pipe going out of the barrel.

I wrap some single strand bare wire around the PVC pipe leading out of the trash can ( secured with a small screw ) and drive a big nail/spike into the ground and wrap the other end of the wire around it. It only took one time for me to learn a lesson on static buildup.

Ok I can see how they work but does it really make it easier? It seems a little time consuming. How long does it take to fill one up?

It makes it a lot easier when you are by yourself. Only takes about 3 minutes to empty a 50 lb sack.

Attach a small chain to the metal and drop it on the ground. It works on mine .

3 mins per sack? I'm not a big guy or anything but I can man handle my 6 bags over a fence, up a ladder and into the feeder in less time than a few bags would take...maybe when i'm old

I have 5 feeders to fill and I can drink cold beer while they are filling up.

3 minutes ? I thought they were faster than that... you might want to re-adjust yours....

How long should it take to transfer a 50 lb sack? I did adjust it because it was taking a lot longer but I guess I could adjust it even more.

If I recall right... the pakmule boasts 50# per minute... some others twice that... NOT sure what Trailbosses ever did...I have the parts in the garage for one minus the blower.... still looking for a cheap one! haha

Ours would fill a 1000# feeder in about 10-15 minutes w/corn. However, ours did not like protein, and it would take at least double the time. The fillers are an asset if you are alone, but if you have help a couple guys can fill a lot faster by hand.
