    Thanks for posting this. I was asking about this very problem recently on a bolt gun that has easy deflection in the factory stock. May give this a try before full replacement.

          Looks like the ruger america predator? I thought about firming it up but went with the Boyd's stock. (still haven't installed it)

            I had a gunsmith do that to a Rem 700 Mountain Rifle once, without my permission BTW. It radically changed the balance of the rifle. I sold it.

              Seems like that might make the gun be very weight forward and not as balanced? Maybe adding some weight before the foam in the butt section?

                It looks heavier than what it is. Adding 4 oz. to a 26 oz. stock was hardly noticeable. The balance point of the stock is now inside the trigger guard so I wouldn't say it's forward heavy too bad
