    Base Angle For Metal Building

For those of you with metal buildings or experience in putting them up. I am about to start putting up my 75x50 bolt up and getting all my tools together for the job. To secure the base angle to the slap did they use hammer shot or drilled anchors? Probably overthinking it but would rather have everything I need on site.

hex head tapcons will work if spaced more frequently. Inset anchors are what most builders use spaced at 2'

Thank you....when you say "inset anchors" are those like the Red Head Anchors that need to be Hilti drilled in?

Red Head drive in anchors is what we use. The ones you drill a hole tap it in then when you tighten the nut down it sucks it up tight to the concrete.

Thank you all....Looks like I have some holes to drill, if they are every 2 ft like said above looking like 150 or so :-0

Every 2 feet seems like a lot. When we built grain bins we would do one every other sheet I think. Usually 6 or 7 on a 42 foot grain bin (diameter) these are 36 feet tall ish. Although with grain in them they are pretty heavy! Better safe then sorry I guess!

When I put up metal buildings, we put them every 3 feet. The base angle came drilled that way.

Lead anchors are all we used when I was putting up the buildings.

Blew holes with a torch. Maybe every four feet.

With my current barndo build I used 2x3 galvanized base angle with 1/4" x3" drive in anchors like brute killer posted. I set the angle up on a drill press and drilled slightly oversized holes for the anchors 3' apart. I have a big Millwaukee hammer drill that made drilling the holes in the concrete easy.
