German Smear technique info needed.

Just my opinion but the German schmear is just as bad an idea as painting brick.
Unless someone has a better technique than the one that they displayed on the Waco show.

My wife was able to do it herself on about 140 sqft no problem. Took her 6hrs. I had to mix the cement up for her.

I think we'll opt to leave the stone as is.

Don't smear that stone, you will regret it. It is done on brick. We did it on our home that is red brick and it turned out awesome. You do the following:
- You get Alamo white masonry cement
- Mix to thicker than pancake batter
- Apply with trowel
- Let dry a little, then wipe off the or use wire brush to take off in areas you need to fit your look

post up some pic's man, my wife and I were talking about doing this to our house. seems to be pretty simple.

We did it to our fireplace. Pretty easy. You can get the pre mixed white mortar at Lowes. We did. We did it over brick. The big trick was to use very little water so it sticks good and doesn't run

No not yet, we had a major leak in the kids bathroom and laundry area, so I had to completely redoing that area. Going to wait til warmer weather for the outside.
