Homeade Lawn Aerator

About 60 inches of drum width. My mower is a 60 inch deck so that was the original plan is to have the same path. Spikes are 3/16 flat bar - 4 inches in length. Drum is 2 streamflow meter housings welded together - 1/8" thick or so. I would guess 150 lbs as it sits. Works pretty dang good. I don't have a yard pic but I promise it worked! Rollers are the front ends of an old junked riding mower. Excuse the multicolor paint - I was cleaning out the paint shelf.

That's cool should do well right now with all the rain. What about adding some weight just a thought. Good job

The weight will be a work in progress. It rides real low on the back of the mower and doesn't bounce even when going fast. With my soil, if its dry there are enough cracks in the ground to aerate! Hopefully, I can use this a couple times after it rains.
