    Custom mule bed seat

Well I spent most of all day fabricating a custom flip up bed seat for my mule 610. I used 1" square tubing and made it too flip up so it's out of the way when I haul stuff. After getting the back support finished and flip up seat, I decided to add arm rest and build bed rails to give me a little deeper bed room for a couple extra bags of corn lol. Overall it turned out real nice. Still have to build the back rest cushion and seat cushion and prime and paint it. It was all tig welded. I tried to get pics as I built it.

I have only hunted in one, but the seat faced forward and was just the right height to shoot over the top, but you could stillbusrvtge bed underneath.
        I love the new mules.

I built this one just to hold an extra person or two while we are riding around checking cameras and stuff.

Understood. And good for safety and passengers. If you want to haul people, that will work. Wish I had your skills !

Thank you sir. I am a pipe welder by trade but I love fabricating and welding. When you do it for a living and do it in your spare time I guess it's a passion lol.

Got it primed, sprayed with bed liner, and put back in today. Now just have to make the back rest and seat cushion hopefully this weekend.

I don't know if you already have material plans but I used this stuff to cover a high rack seat and like it. Feels like fabric but susposed to be water proof. I have not used it enough to comment on durability but so far I like it.

Got the seat and back rest cut out of 3/4" treated plywood and used 2" high density foam for the back rest. I used 3" high density foam for the seat and covered both with black vinyl to make it water proof. I'm very happy with the whole project.
