    Simple deer drag w/handle

I'm sure many of you use some version of this, but I made a new one today and thought I'd post pics. It can be a real back-saver when you shoot a deer or pig that doesn't have the decency to die in a spot where you can drive right up to it. All you need is a 1 1/2" hardwood dowel and about 10' of rope.

Buck was gracious enough to take a few minutes of his precious time between naps to model the device.

I make the handle 12" long so it easily fits in a side pocket of my CatQuiver.

We had to drag out two deer here in Oklahoma last night. One field dressed at 164 and the other 149. My partner had a store-bought version of this drag. Thanks for posting these pictures. After using one, I'm going to make one like yours & keep in my daypack.

Seriously Joey, I don't want to hear about your "man sack".

                            Pvc

I used a piece of 3/4" PVC about 8" long. The PVC bends some when I try to pull with 1 hand, but worked great when I put it above my belt on my belly and drug the deer behind me while walking.
