New Fishing Spot on my Shallow Sport

Was empty and lonely on the bow so I gave the boat a little love. With the help of a friend, we fabbed a bracket for a quick release. Now the trolling motor will sit level and deploy over the lip. Grabbed a piece of stainless from the junkyard and wala. Then I added a seat for them long drifts. Couldn't find one in a Lazy Boy.

Look at a Explorer 21 TV before you buy anything. They are AMAZING boats.

I've seen a couple of used 23tv on craigslist should I stay away from a used one or are they well built ? I know a lot of it depend on use or abuse , but they sure are sweet too

I've owned Destiny, Explorer, Ultra Cat and this Shallow Sport. I will never buy a V Hull like an explorer again. I hated the narrow bow and got caught on a wave that turned us around 180 deg . I miss my 21' Ultra Cat. This SS runs like a champ and I'm liking it a lot . Drafts really skinny and hole shot it pretty darn good. I've only had it about two weeks but so far so good. If i buy another it will be the 21' Shallow Sport. I just don't fish enough to spend that kind of coin on a boat . Found this one in mint condition with under 40hrs for 21k. Had over 5k in accessories and all dealer installed too. I've never been on a Gulf Coast. They just look funny to me. Lol

pbuckshot I agree on the funny looks of the gulf coast with the console so far forward , my neighbor has one and he swears by it. good to know about explorer will keep it in mind and the width of the bow, kinda why I'm leaning toward a shallow sport and that hull design

Not at all bro. This is a discussion forum. It's all good. So many flats boats out there it's hard to choose. They getting pricy too! My advice would be to shop hard and long. Don't rush into a boat. Make sure it's gonna be good for the kind of fishing that floats your boat.

for so long I wanted a pescador, explorer, shoalwater, vtype hull until I started to research the shallow sport and seeing how they run, I like the one with the low sides not sure of the name, I know the new ones are pricey but I would also consider a nice used one

Youre talking about the Classic. Cool boats for sure. I had one last year with no sides. It was cool but its hard to believe how even a 4'' lip makes a difference. They are cool if you wade fish cuz you can get on and off but not too good of an idea if you have kids or a few drunk cousins. Here is the boat I had last year. I fell off twice myself. Here is the one I had. It did run skinny but I don't miss it at all.
