    lockback folder part 2.

The first one I tried was a failure, I could get it to open good, but when closed the blade was loose.

I'm doing this with minimal tools. No mill machine yet.

This one I sketched on a piece of paper and played with it and came up with this shape, I'm a fan of the tanto shape.

I'm doing this mock up with mild steel from home depot just to see if it works, if it does I'll use knife steel.

Keep in mind this is a mock up.

    Closed position.

I haven't had a chance to get much done, this is just a mild steel mock up.

I got the lock bar fitted, but I haven't worked on the spring yet.

Once I get it working I'll have a template to cut one out of knife steel.

Relax, Kevin. Nobody's gonna mock your mock up

I did a little more today, originally I had a pin to stop the blade when closed, I didn't like it so I redid the lock bar and I'm happy now. I also cut the spring it's thin but I think it'll work if tempered right.
