The stainless piece I used had been heat treated for the project it was used for to make it harder. That is why I did the overlay on the cutting edge, just to make sure the tip wouldnt roll over on me. I oberlayed it with 25.10.4L wire (thats what our weld engineer suggested). And it works great!
