Yes 10 pieces per star. That's why the smallest error will really get away from you. Every error gets multiplied by 10. The next one i build i will get a pic before assembly.

I made one of these. Use new shoes, they'll lie flatter. I think the 8 outer sections were. 9" with 22.5 degree cuts. Notch the bottom of the legs to fit snug on the rim. Easy project.
