No doubt, don't let yeti see it. They'll be building and selling them for $100,000 but 2 sticks of wood will last a month... Very cool idea sir and I'm subscribed to see how it turns out!
Man, I am too! This thing called work keeps interfering with all my free time and projects. If its not raining too much Monday I will try and stab the box to the tank.
Well I'm about to get to work on the firebox door. Im going to just hinge it with round bar and pipe, but I need some ideas on the vent. Ive been looking and I need something simple that works and looks good. Any of you have idea and or pictures of what you have done using a torch and a chop saw. I was thinking something like a round hole with a round plate over it that a bolt can be welded to a backing plate. The only hang up I have with using bolts is over time they are going to cause problems with rust and heat getting to them.
How do you scrape the ashes youth with the door like that?
That's exactly what I was thinking. I thought he was going to make the firebox door round and the same diameter as the inner pipe. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
