Not a lot to tell. Used a ammo can, 1.5 inch angle and 2" square I had left from other projects, picked up the small barrel for free and a 12v feeder replacement motor. Wireless remote came from http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o00_s00 $18.

Total cost, less steel, was about $55.

I have purchased a few of those same remotes for the same purpose, they work great, better than the Moultrie in my opinion!

That's awesome!!! I like the remote idea. How is your power fed to it?

Will that remote work on a regular feeder?

What's the max distance for the remote? I looked at the link, but it didn't specify that. Looking to see if it would work for a bow set up.

Almost 80 pounds give or take.

I ran a heavy gage wire from Ranger battery and used a trailer light plug to provide power to the feeder.

                        Yes it will, but...

Not very far. I have not tried a test but it will not work at 20-yards. There are remotes on the market that will but they come with a price ~$110.
