                We got insulation finished and started paneling last trip but no new pictures. Plan to get back on it next weekend

                  How many boards did u need? I am looking at doing this for my cabin...its a 12 x 24...actual inside is a 12x 20...

                      Insulation boards? We bought 45 but have some left over plus there was a lot of waste that we could have used if needed.

                      In hindsight fiberglass bats would be so much easier, every pc had to be cut in 2 directions to fit between the studs.

                        I have done both, and would rather work with fiberglass bats any day. You can stuff that stuff anywhere. The foam boards look cleaner, but do take a little more cutting.

                        Cabin is looking good! Im looking forward to more pics.

                            This was cheaper for us because I found it on Craigslist for $5/sheet. Retail I'm not sure but I bet bats are cheaper

                              I did a DIY on something similar last year but from metal. I used the safe foam board. My bunkhouse 6.5' x 18' stayed plenty warm with a small heater this last season. I just wish I would have taken the advice and gotten a bigger AC window unit. After it cools off in the summer, it stays plenty cool. But it takes a while for the small window unit to get it cool.
