My rocker panels are pretty beat up.
Should I build some sliders that bolt to them and cover them up....or cut the rockers off and build some tube sliders?

Option 2 is easier
Option 1 requires compression nuts cause you can't get in there to put a nut on it. I have some but I don't think they will hold any weight at all.

Gonna leave 1-1/4" of sheet metal. I don't want to cut all the way to the door jam like the gray Bronco above. That will put me 2" above the bottom of the frame rail to weld the nerf bar in.

Now....I'm thinkin about drilling 1-3/4" holes thru the rocker panel to the frame. If I don't like it, I can go ahead and cut the rockers off.
