    Polaris Ranger High Rack Build

Ok, so I'm starting an FFA project in school. I decided to build a high rack for the our 2011 Polaris Ranger Crew. I'm gonna try to post as much as I can as I go along.
So far all I've done today is get the metal and started building the seat.

Only got some more metal cut today before someone broke the blade on the bandsaw so no pictures of anything really getting put together.

Got a decent amount done today. Welded the chair basically. Got it all tacked together and then ran a few beads. The beads weren't coming out like I wanted to so I stopped for the day. All I can say so far is that 2 inch tubing may not have been the greatest idea, it's gonna be a heavy sum b****!

Mainly just worked on leveling things today as I made some mistakes the other day. Other than that I put a back brace on it for the back cushion and the two vertical posts for my arm rests.

Looking good, do you need the cross bar in back on the bottom? Without is you would still be able to slide a cooler, game...in the bed. I would think the angle iron inside the bed would keep it from bowing out.

I mainly put it there to keep the angle iron from warping while I welded the whole thing and will probably take it off when I finish. I didn't think of it blocking storage though, that just makes it a definite for me taking it off when finished. Thanks for comment, just saved me a lot of headache later down the road.
