I started this 3 years ago dang ADHD

I found a few pictures that I had at work that didn't get deleted. I had a build going on another site but it crashed and lost all the pictures.

sorry about this but I copied and pasted from the other site didn't have time to type it all again today.

The pipe is 3/8'' thick 30''diameter 9ft long cutting it back to 6ft and building a 2ft fire box

I think it will need a 6'x12' trailer; I might be able to squeeze everything on a 5'x10' trailer maybe.

I want to get started building this joker, but my friend that has the welding truck and tractor with FIL said. He would not fire up his welding truck until I get a trailer for the smoker to go on. Then once in place on the trailer I can use his truck to weld everything up. Terry lives about 20 miles from my house so a quick trip to check on fitting things has also go my hands tied. I wanted to start building the RF plate because of all the welding on just that one part is over 30ft of welding.

The exhaust pipe looks huge 8'' pipe 3/8'' thick

I got the end caps cut and got some stainless cut for a shelf and a table. And built some of the RF plate with 3x3x 3/16''angle iron and 1/4'' plate.

The pipe is 130lbs. a ft, my door will be 5ft so if I do the 1/4 of the pipe cut for the door it will be 162.5 lb door.

I took about a week to cut it out just cutting 3-4'' at a time trying not to get the metal to hot and warping the door

weld the RF plate up with the 7018's and then welded it in place, then welded the hinges on and welded the two half’s of the exhaust pipe together then put it in place and welded on the end cap.

The handle on the door of the smoker

Found out today that this is a progressive cavity pump rotor. That was made for the paper mill to use in the power house. I couldn't find the price on one that was along as this one was. But a 34'' one was $2328

Next time I'm not going to use 1/4'' for the trim it's hard bending it to fit the curve of the pit

Had to get a longer drill bit to drill the drain hole. I had welded a threaded pipe on the bottom of the RF plate before welding the RF plate in place. I didn't know for sure where the hole needed to be at. So now I can cut the hole bigger with the o/a torch and put the pipe with the cut off valve in place.

Also added some anti-tip pieces to the slides to keep the grating form taking a tumble forward if somebody pulls it out too far.

In the picture the expanded metal is just sitting on top of the 1x1x.25. I'm going to weld it on the underside for a cleaner look

The upper grate will be about 7-8'' above the lower one. I just have to wait until I get a few things welded up before I put it in place. Because I wouldn't be able to get to a few thing.

        R & V Works FF3 8.5 Gallon Outdoor Cajun Deep Fryer
The deep fryer I need to cut the base off and built one that I can use on the trailer then drop the fryer back on the old base with the wheels on it

This is what I’m planning on for the damper handle a cut off replica shot gun

I used 1/2'' square stock for support on the racks had them put the back spring hanger 6'' from the back.

I think it goes 4'' below the bottom rack. but I will go measure to make sure.

Love that twisted steel handle. This thing is a beast. Love it.

you dont have to measure it....LOL. I was just wondering well how it drafted being that low. All the ones I have seen are above the rack. I imagine it probably drafts fine being that the stack is so big.
