    Any DIY Kayak mods?

Just picked up a 13' Perception kayak from Academy. Anyone made any types of modifications, storage updates or carriers for their kayaks?

I took a 10# barbell and tied it to a rope and call it an anchor.

Having a depth finder mounted sure helps tell the rest of the story- what's going on underwater and all.
8-rechargeable AA's make for a good, light 12v power supply.

oh man, i went crazy with the ones I had. Anchor trolleys, storage bins, depth finders, Trolling motors, rudders, storage containers, lights, trailer. You can really go crazy with it.

heres one I did for a fellow TBHr.

what my personal one(2nd) ended up looking like when i sold it.

Anyone on here built any accessories that they would recommend? Any must have ideas?

Rudder can be easily built yourself and makes a huge difference in the way the boat acts in the water. Whether you are paddling, adrift, or anchored a rudder can help you control the boat. When fishing from a kayak your ability to control the boat is vital and can allow for more time actually fishing.

Show me your mods. I've been searching the Internet for days trying to find ideas of what I could/should do to my yak. I've seen a lot of rudders, anchor trolleys, and milk crates.
