Paracord wrist strap for thumb release

I got a Spot Hogg Friday Night Special thumb release. After shooting with a Scott Itty Bitty Goose release forever, I'm used to having something on my wrist, and I'm afraid of loosing the new release.

The release is nice, the wrist strap is just "OK".



I took some pieces of paracord and made this wrist strap. The black cord that is attached to the release goes through a loop on the other end of the cobra weave. The little black 'thingie' to snug it on my wrist came off one of my mallard decoys in the garage- I was going to work on them anyway.

Not a tough project, and seems like it will work better than "OK".

Paracord wrist strap for thumb release

Here's a binocular strap I did out if extra paracord for my small backup binoculars. Nothing fancy, but functional.

I did it watching the Texans beat the 49ers 23-10 in preseason football!
