    Deer Cart DIY

I hunt about 3 miles up a river and built this cart to haul the deer out. Have not used it yet, but I think it will work. In the past I have hauled them out in kayak, floated them, and quartered them up. I think this will work in the sand.

Looks good...but is it gonna be very stable with one wheel?

My 1st thought also, it would wear me out pulling and balancing.

Its hard to tell in the pic but its made for two people to push/pull; one from each end. Its very balanced. Google "elk cart". it has a motorcyle wheel in the middle. kinda works like a wheel barrow. It could even be used by one person if needed.

Probably just as useful for taking gear in and out as well.

Killer, you answered the questions! Sounds like you might have used it with me.

That's what I used it for this last year. Did not shoot a deer to test it out, but it worked great with two fully loaded packs. The motorcycle tire did not sink like a regular deer cart would. I hauled a buck out one time on a two wheel cart, shot the deer at 9am and got back to the truck at dark. That was the last time I used that cart.

Depending on your terrain you use it on, a solid tire can work alot better in the case of a flat. I had a similar set up i used hunting the brazos river hiking down the river banks with the mud also used it in florida and it worked well there too
