    Redneck brush hog

With the rain we had in September and the tractor I had access to being broke down, I needed to get my lanes mowed. Tried and buried my ZTR so I broke down and built this. Worked great considering what it was and I'll be using it for next year! I was amazed it even stayed running! Mower had been sitting at camp for 2 years in the weather and still fired right up!

Too awesome. You could expand the idea with a riding mower deck and a donor engine

I too use an old mower to keep shooting lanes clear.
Set the cut level as high as it goes, wire the vent cover open, and start mowing. I've seen deer a week later walking by the free choice corn feeder to get to the new grass growth.

              Have fun with your contraption!

At the time I had a 1 year old 42" deck off a craftsman that was replaced under warranty (bracket broke) but didn't have the time to rig it up. After seeing how good the push mower worked, I got rid of the mower deck. The nice thing about the push mower is it can be used to trim places I can't get the wheeler!
