sweet!!! Let it burn awhile and crank it up all the way. Did you put white gas/Coleman fuel in it or Kerosene?

I think I will have to buy a new cap. It's losing pressure from the cap. In order to keep it lit I have to pump it up ever minute or two.I'll look at the cap in the morning and see if there is a o-ring I can change or if it's the whole cap. It's still pretty cool to see this old thing burning. This reminds me of great times I had camping when i was a kid.
Hey where are ya'll finding these old lanterns that you are re-building?

I am having my dad build me a camping box for two stoves, 4 lanterns, and 2 cans of white gas. It will help me keep my stuff organized.

This weekend I was building a "canning pantry" for my wife and I revisited the idea of building a "small" wooden chuck box for camp. I was thinking of being able to fit the 533, an extra pint of fuel, a funnel, the small maintenance kit, an 8" lodge skillet, spatula, and small pot/kettle.
When I finished boiling the water in the kettle this weekend, I busted out with my 8" iron skillet and made a quick grilled cheese sandwich. Yould have thunk that skillet was made for that stove!
