    Diy hat rack

I need the green screen help. Please don't judge my welds as this was the first time I have ever welded two pieces of metal together. The one on the left or the one on the right. I have already put together the reclaimed wood backer for these to be attached to.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I bought that welder from harbor freight 3 years ago and am just now trying it out.

Turning up the heat never hurts. It would help with the horseshoes especially.

Good job keep practicing and get comfortable when u weld

This the little welder. I don't think I can turn up the heat. It is a cheap flux core mig from harbor freight I bought on Black Friday 3 years ago.

I have the same welder and I put it on high and about #4-5 I think for wire speed. My welds didn't look that great at 1st but after a little practice, I got better. I think rusty horse shoes are tougher to do. I started using new ones and then rust em myself.

Looks good. I have some extra horse shoes laying around. I think I'll build some. As long as the weld holds its good, a hat will be covering it anyways!

I like the one on the right. Not sure what type of hats you're planning on hanging, but I'd look at only using a half a horse shoe for the protruding part so that the tips can be even and aligned.

I will be hanging cowboy hats from it.

I think your weld will hold a cowboy hat if not, sell the welder and buy a store bought with the money ya make!! LOL
