      Have you seen the floors people have done? Looks great! If you YouTube taking apart pallets they have some tools used to take them a part.

            The pallet ceilings and walls look great but in the event of a fire they would really help it spread alot faster.

                How did you put them up? liquid nail? I painted and had hard wood floors put in and wanted to do something like this to ceiling in our living room. I have fixed a long crack in the ceiling a few times and it comes back, so I figured cover it. Plus we like the look of old lumber at the restaurants.

                    I like it...that's nicely done and I'm going to do the same thing to the ceiling of my cabin.

                    Right now it's just plywood and your idea will really make it look nice.

                    Smart marking the joists so you knew where to put the screws.

                        Not any worse than using beaded board or any other type of wood on ceilings which is very common in high end houses today.
