What about using some dry ice? Might stay cooler longer.

Dry ice is a good idea! Gonna be good for Early bow season in the pop up

                  Redneck Air Conditioner

I tried this and was disappointed with the results. Apparently humid air is much more difficult to cool than dry air. I measured the air blowing out of the bucket to be only 70 degrees, using a 5 gallon bucket with two frozen milk jugs inside.

The frozen jugs melt pretty quickly. I added a layer of ice from our ice machine with 4 promised land milk jugs. Lasted the four hours we were at farmers market blowing cold.
The second weekend I used ice from one of the ready ice stations and it melted super quickly.

Melting wasn't my issue. The air just wasn't cold after passing through the bucket.

Are you telling me this will work in a pop up blind?!

Someone posted earlier that it took their 100º blind down to 80º for about 3 hours.

I built one of these the other day and got minimum results from it. I used a 5gal bucket, spray on insulation (since I could not find a styrofoam insert), 1gal frozen milk jug, and a 9" fan. I drilled out two 1 1/2" holes for it to blow out of. The air coming out was cool (not cold like the video) and I was disappointed at the amount of low flow that the fan was putting out of the 2 holes.

Thinking about trying it again but on an old 48qt cooler and hoping for better results.
