    Owner of a local sign shop talked me out of coroplast today. Said after a couple of years of being exposed to the elements you'd be able to stick your finger right through it. According to them it gets brittle in a hurry. Going the traditional route I guess unless I can find some reject R-Panels or something. Looking for something a little lighter than plywood.

      If you coat it with a good coat of paint, it should not get really brettle very fast. UV rays are what turns it brittle.

        I've made several coroplast blinds - some black and some dark olive. I use the 10 mil (3/8") and have some that have been in the field many years. Plus, they are lightweight and are easy to lift onto a platform. The best part is that the sheets are uv-inhibited. I'll provide a pic when I can.

          That is the stuff that the bandit signs are made out of on the side of the road. I am pretty sure you need to stake that one down. First good wind that comes in will take it to see Dorothy and Toto....
          Good idea though for lightweight and easy to make and pretty cheap too
