Last batch from this past weekend.
Long sloping point bordered by two channels. This should get a couple big loads of small gravel on it
View of a sharper secondary point on the south side of the long point. You can see a rock piles at the tip of each point where it meets a channel.
Rock pile.
This is pretty cool. Two culverts and a fake road bed on the end of one of the channels. Hope the bass can use this as an ambush point as the wind drives bait into the area.
Channel and hump leading towards the culverts
Lake is filling up. Took a similar picture to this one the time before and you could see a bunch of fish condos in that picture. They are mostly underwater now.
Big trees to form hiding areas. Water should be right at a foot above the top of these trunks. That root ball is just waiting for me.
The kids decided they wanted in on the action and started laying a bunch of deadfall against the larger trunks. They named it the honey hole.
Overview looking back to the North East.

This is really coming along nicely. I've built several and you all have put in more effort and got more great ideas on structure than any lake I have seen. My problem is usually it starts raining before I get all my structure established. You have had the perfect year and lots of labor time and effort. It looks fabulous. I still say leave the bass out until at least next year, maybe 2016. That's hard, but you can never add enough prey later like you can grow it now. I'm trying to buy 5" bluegill now and can't find any. Big expense for big bait!!
