Many of you may remember my son and I last summer restoring his 1979 F250 4x4. http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=385870
Well he had 3 cam lobes go flat so we had to rebuild his engine. We uprgraded the pistons to 9.5 compression from the factory 7.9. We also upgraded the cam with a custom grind roller cam and roller lifters instead of the flat tappet lifters. We got all parts from Tim Meyer in Minnesota who by all reports on any Ford forum is the expert on the Ford 400 engine. With these upgrades we should be around 350+ HP and 440 ft/lbs torque. Big improvement over original stock 179 HP. After finally gathering all the parts and getting all block work done we put it together last weekend. Here are 3 youtube videos I did with our Primos DPS time lapse camera.
Day 1. http://youtu.be/ABmF7Hf6yrs

Going back to San Angelo this weekend to get it wrap up and tuned up and running like a champ.
