What's a track saw? A radial arm saw?

A lot depends on what your using it for. I need and use both.

Below is a link to a track saw. If you only had the money for one what would you go with? Space is not an issue, I work by myself most of the time and of course money is always a factor.

Do you have a shop? What type of wood work are you doing? If I only had one it would be a good heavy table saw. You can rip plywood with a good circular saw and two pieces of inch and half aluminum.

Yes I do have a shop. My wood working can range from anything remodeling my house to building deck/chicken coops things of that nature.

Got to have a table saw-period! I made a track for my circular saw--tape measure, couple of clamps, and I'm in business.

Table saw would be more useful.

The track saw is nothing more than a skill saw that has a track you lay down as a guide.
It is better than a table saw for one reason( making persion cuts on large pannels)
But then again, you can do the same thing with a skill saw, two clamps and a straight guide board.

Table saw. We have both and I use the table saw 10:1.
Rail saw is great for precise cuts on panels and blanks too big to run across table saw.

If cost is a big factor then festool brand may not be your go to.

Absolutely table saw. No competition when it comes to all around versatility.
