I bought a starter plan book on-line. It works ok, but still a lot of measuring involved. Plenty of minor mess ups along the way.

Got the top all glued together today and ready for the planer. Also cut the openings for climate adjuster to keep the playing surface from warping from the humidity.

Put some carpet down and installed adjustable feet. Playing surface is all that's left.

How do you plan to smooth the actual playing surface?
What kind of wood is it? Maple?

Yes it is Hard Maple. I'm going to run it through a 22'' planer, the width on it is 20''. Finished dimensions will be 14 1/2' long, 2 1/2'' thick, 20'' wide.

Got the top ran through the planer today and sanded down. Put it on the table and played a few to get everything running true and level. Still need to seal and number the top.



Score keepers installed also.
