Great choice in caliber. I own some Swedes and when I rifle hunt it is with a Tika T3 in 6.5x55. Good luck and enjoy your build

The barrel is on order along with a low swing safety, and some steel bed. I am still looking for a stock. I cant decide on wood stock or polymer.

I fit a low swing safety. And my barrel should be in this week so I can get this proj back on track.

Are you going to re finish it? If so what are you going to use or thinking about using?

Sorry, I fell off posting pics. Here is a teaser. This is shots number 6-10 out of the rifle. The first 5 were making sure the chamber was safe and zeroing the scope. I am going to take apart the gun so it can be cerakoted then I need to bed the action and free float the barrel. I am hoping to see an improvement after that is done. I am excited.

After cutting off the old bolt hand I installed a new bolt handle, heated it and turned it out and slightly back. Turned out pretty good I think.

Taped up the stock so i don't get bedding compound on everything. And yes I did get bedding compound all over the tape.

I used pam spray as a release agent and found some bolts that fit the action. I cut of the heads on the bolts to line up the receiver into the stock.
I used white playdough to plug up any holes in the action.

Now I have the action taped in place and waiting for it to dry.

This is my first bedding job and I hope the action isn't glued to the stock. :-)

Well I need to get it cerakoted but it has been bedded and a dollar bill slides nicely under the barrel.
