    3pt. Subsoiler/Poly Pipe Trencher

I've been promising the wife to run some new waterlines/faucets out to the horse and cow patches for a while now, and finally got around to building a pipe trencher to make the job a little easier.
I started with rolling a bend in some 1.5 tubing to make the trencher sleeve.

Reinforced it and made it "hinge-able" and removable when the making a few pre-burial passes and using it just as a subsoiler.

Next was to build a spool to hold the poly pipe tubing, the outside hub is removable to load 400 ft. rolls of tubing. The center of the spool is a 1500# hub assembly from Northern Tool. I had to recruit my dad to cut the hub and center the holes.

I built the spool boom a little bigger should the need arise to build a bigger spool for larger tubing and is removable to hook the attachment up to the tractor.

The implement weight was the most critical thing I ran into to keep my test runs below 16" with enough weight and a couple pre-passes I was able to keep the subsoiler well below that.

A little paint and its ready to go this weekend, the plan is to bury 600 ft. of tubing and install 2 new freeze proof faucets and the end of the two runs.

Our soil around here is clay/sandy with very little rock so my 50 HP kubota has no problem pulling through the job. If all goes as planned I hope to get to use this out in Knox county to bury some watering stations for game at the inlaws.
    Thanks for your time

Holy crap! They used something like this to burry my phone line when we built the house, but it was a drivable machine, like a ditch witch. I need this to run some power to my barn!
