Fwiw I made a bed frame from cheap 2x6s for our cabin. "Roughed it up" and stained it. Got less than 60 bucks in a queen size

I pretty much copied another members diy he posted. Once built I put 3 or 4 screws and a couple nails in a 2x4. Cut or filed off the ends at different angles and used it to hit and score the wood. Flat blade screw driver to make "worm holes" then stained it gave it a weathered look. I'll see if I can find some pics

You can also beat it with a piece of chain for "distressed" look.

Thanks guys. Had a heat warning for centerville. Something like 150 degrees up there. I stayed home this weekend to do some studying for a work promotional exam. I'd rather be trimming out trails and killing wasps.
