It started raining on Sunday morning so I was stuck inside. Cleaned out the shelves and bins in the well house and hung a bunch of stuff up in the walls to make more floor room.

Going back up for spring break and hope to get some tractor work done and more lights hung up around my vehicle parking area and new deck area.

We got fruity this week. Peach and pear trees planted up on the back hill. Hopefully I don't forget and brushhog them. :-)

Mamma didn't like my comment: "hoe'in ain't easy"

My brother and his family came for a few days of spring break. We had a good time in the rain riding four wheelers and cooking. They just bought land in Normangee so we went over there to explore.

                          nice...

Don't forget to put pipe or fence around them when the bucks start rubbing out. We had a buck hit 5 trees we planted one night. All of them withing 30 yards of the house, which is in the middle of pasture.

THanks for the heads up. I know I need to do something. Just looking for a cheap alternative.

I bought some 4" corrugated plastic pipe from Home Depot. Cut a seem up one side then stretch it around the trunk of the tree. Be careful to not scratch the bark too much. I drove t-post next to my trees because the wind at my house would have had the trees laid over in no time. So, i tied the top of the plastic corrugated pipe to the t-post to keep it from sliding up in the event a buck decided to have his way with it. It also keeps the tree upright for the first couple of years while it takes root.

Or you could make a mini fence around each them out of some scrap fencing and some posts of some sort.
