KCA Ranch. A Work in Progress.
I was a one man show this weekend. Got up to centerville on Saturday around 11 and got busy.
Put up a new feeder about 100 yards from camp. I'll be able to see it from the camper window.
Then I set up a 10' quad pod about 20 yds
away.
Arrow is pointing at the seat. Should have good cover and can hunt most winds depending on where they come from.
I'm hoping to draw some deer from this side of the creek from the adjoining properties. My other feeder is at the other end of the property on the other side of the creek. A lot more deer traffic up there.
Then I went to the far northeast corner and set up a 15' double ladder stand for rifle hunting. It has pretty good views down the right-of-ways:
Putting my little trailer to work:
One view towards the west:
View towards the south. There's a good deer crossing at the top of the hill.
Don't look down!
Then I went to my back feeder up on the hill and put up another 10' quad pod about 17 yds from the feeder. I had to fight to get it where I wanted. Still have some trimming to oo but I will be invisible if it works out right.
From the ground below the stand. There's a big scrape about 50 yds away from here and the trail leads from there to my feeder area.
I had to cut a LOT of ya upon with loppers and an old school pole saw. This is just from around my back feeder to open up the shooting and feeding area more:
I made it back home and just relaxing now.
Wife wants a washer and dryer put in and another AC in the camper. Never ending labor of love.
Thanks for following.
And watch out for barbed wire when you're cutting brush.

It's about 70% wooded. It's clear near the front by camp and then a nice couple acres in the back up on a hill with big oaks. The rest is wooded. There are several nice roads/trails that I can drive a vehicle down along the perimeter and cutting through the property.
