    DIY Euro Mount

Had one of last years buck horns laying around and decided to make it into a mount,I sanded the skull with 600 grit sandpaper, then clear coated the horns and skull; then built a ''L'' frame out of aluminum to fit inside the brain cavity, two bolts to secure it to the skull and two more to the wood plaque.

Looks good. Did you break the nose piece?

It was fragile from the start so I opted to cut it off, I'd rather do it now then have someone jack with it and break it, rather be me to do it than someone else.

Side view. I used 1 1/4'' flat strap that is bent to place the horns in a presentable position.

Nice job! Grandpa's old Marlin 39D looks nice on the wall also.

Nice job. I've done a couple myself. For the nose peices, since I boil my skulls, they tend to come of anwyays and I just superglue them back on (as well as any teeth, etc that might come loose.)

When I clear coated the skull it held the teeth in place. So it killed two birds with one stone!
