I love the feeder, makes it so much easier filling it up. Our feed pens are about 3 times that size, are you having success getting deer in the pen?

Good job - that is my favorite feeder design. After having a ladder slip on me and riding an unstaked feeder to the ground I did two things that made my feeder-filling duties much easier - and safer. Switching to platform feeders and making these spring-loaded "flip-top" lids.

                  Looks great!!!

You get deer to enter that feed pen? I cant get em to jump a 12 short hog panel pen....

Nice feeder. As stated above that feed pen is way to small especially with the wire you are using. I vote to make it bigger or at a minimum only use three strands of barb wire.

                      Feeder looks good.

I would highly recommend cutting the wire down and making that pen a big circle using 6-8 panels. 8 panels will give you ~40' diameter pen. It sounds big, but I now sometimes have 5 deer feeding in the pen at once

Love how the tree gives you lots of cover (and shade) too!

Good observation. Deer are not jumping in the pen. I am going to expand the size on my next trip.

Like stated above, try 8-10 panels. Make it round.
