How To Angle Deer Blind Legs

I have a 4 x 6 blind that is 6 foot to the floor with straight legs. It has blown over the past 2 years and needs to be rebuilt. I was wondering how everyone angles their legs without elevator brackets? I was thinking of cutting all the base 2 x 6's at a 15 degree angle then ripping the tops of the 2x6's at a 15 degree angle as well to make the top flat. Then taking some 2x4's laid flat on top of the base to be able to screw my plywood into. If someone has some pics could you please post them.

i would not rip it. just cut your angles on top and bottom and brace it like crazy

I just drive T-posts at an angle next to all four legs and tie the legs to the posts with bailing wire.

Use the existing legs as they are to carry the weight, and screw some "kickstands" to them at the tops of the legs, angling forward, and back of the narrow side.

Build them straight again. Screw anchors & guy wires on all 4 corners. Solid as a rock.

Suprised you didnt tie it down after it blew over the first time.

Its very easy. Don't over think it or complicate the stuff. This is for the first time built, though!

Make two jig, one for front and back and one for sides that you can repeat and do redundancy build on the legs.

Build the posts at an angle. On the ground and slap em together over the jig. You should have two same front and back pattern and two same side pattern and then build your platform on top of it. Bam! You have built an angled tower stand.

This is for wood, though and consist of cross member braces.

I suppose you can do the same for steel as well using chalk on shop floor just like you would do with wood.

                  Good luck!

As far as an already built. I don't know what you have around the blind. If its an open space or if there's a strong tree you can tie it off. Follow the wind pattern as it is always going. For example, mine is always from South to North so I know where to secure it the most. Because that's the wind on most of days.

The land owner will not allow me to put any post in the ground. He keeps it mowed like its his front yard and does not want post left behind.

Too easy to just use elevators. Sorry, that's all I got!

I use these, then T post at each leg with the leg wired to the T post. I also run guy wires from the corners of the roof to the corners of the floor framing to hold it together. I have been considering running an anchor wire underneath but it has been fine for the past year without it.
