I was thinking that the kids needed some entertainment while on our jogs together, so I went to Frys and got some Diamond Mini-Rockers Bluetooth speakers (about $40) that I can use with my iPhone. So far, my running total is about $62 dollars for this project (in addition to the original purchase).

I put some velcro on the bases of the speakers and mounted them on the stroller in the middle and facing outward. I wanted to mount them on the outside facing in, but the retactable wire that connects the speaker to each other was not long enough for that. Oh well...

These speakers can be easily removed and I have already started using them while working in the garage and around the house. So, this turned out to be a good purchase since I am using them for other things already.

      Added some bling-bling!

So far this stroller has turned out nicely, but I was not finished yet. I needed to add some "cool-factor" to it so I spent another $8 on a couple fo purple battery-operated glow sticks (bringing my total project cost to about $70).

I used velcro tape again (which I already had a lot of) and mounted the lights at the very front of the shade covers. They work the same whether the covers are extended or not. This gives us some cool-looking running lights and adds a little safety for our early morning or late evening jogs.

In summary, my total cost (purchase plus project) was around $90 or so. This jogging stroller is certainly on par with some of the newer ones that cost several hunder dollars. Not only that, but I have integrated bluetooth speakers and ultra-cool running lights

Now, my 5 year old will probably only fit in this stroller for another year or so. However, when it is time to retire this stroller, I plan to modify it and use it for a game carrier when I go hog hunting out at Granger! Always planning ahead!

Hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed doing it and typing it all up

Only problem with this, how you going to get your wife to push it while she's working. Your going to have a hard enough time getting your body out for a walk, much less a jog.

HAHA you are indeed right. It is hard, but I'm doing it. Up to 2 miles jogging already without the stroller and kids. I will try the stroller with kids this Saturday and see how I do.
