I've got video of a rattlesnake and a skunk in one of my blinds at the same time

Needless to say I ran upwind.....quick fast and in a hurry

Fill it with water so you can be cool in October.

I am not sure about it holding water. I sloped the dirt around it so the water would run away from it I hope. The blind is in Archer co. we had about 3 inches of rain over a two day period a few weeks back. I didn't get back out there for about a week after But it was dry inside. Coachwhip it took 8 sacks of mortar. DPElite thanks for the info! I knew the shot angle was going to be different. The blind was inexpensive to build about 250.00 but holy crap it was lots of work. It is on my family land so i will get to hunt from it for many years I hope. I also have a 5 year old that I hope to be taking hunting soon and thought it would be a good way to hide his movement and be up close to the deer.

            No problem Nate

Another Lil tip for ya.....put you some carpet in there

That will help keep it quiet in there when you try to move around like shuffling your feet ect

Also makes for a nice warm place to lay down and take a nap

Nice looking bunker! Be careful checking for snakes in the dark when setting up for your morning hunts.

That's awesome! I've been wanting to do this for a while now. Never thought about making it outa mortar. How thick did you go with the walls? Also how did you do the door. Framed in wood, metal door? Cool build. I see one in my near future.
