    Homemade Livewell?

I was wanting to make a homemade live well for a Jon Boat that would still be capable of being used in tournaments. If yall could give me some ideas or ways that you have done this please let me know. Thanks

Here is what I did and I have another tote if you want.

I got an old "water cow", one like the high school trainers use for Friday nights. It has a twist off top and it has a drain at the bottom where you can drain all the water. I put a small hose in the hole on the top and I used wratchet straps to tie it to the boat so it wont move. When you need fresh water, I have an aerator pump that pump fresh water into the trough or I just recirculate the water in the trough. It kind of look like one of those troughs for fertilizer.

    Clear as mud.

I will take a picture of it when I get home and send it to you.

The aerator shown above and an old cooler? I use an aquarium air pump, bubbler stone and a cooler to keep minnows, but I don't think the air pump would be enough for a live well. An old cooler and some type of 12v pump and a spray bar.
