Well going back out of town to work I've decided that I WILL NOT throw $400 a week to a motel/hotel. I've been looking around and found a RV on the property of the 2 ladies that I do some work around their place for hunting privileges. I ask them about the RV and they tell me that it's been sitting for 1 1/2 years, but I'm welcome to go look.
I went and looked at the RV......turns out its a 1991 Layton 3010DLX..... I asked the ladies to make me a price for the RV and they called that night with a $2000 price. I reluctantly agreed and prayed to God that to fix up the RV wouldn't be that expensive.
Went and picked up the RV today and brought it to my house. I fixed some small things first such as adding a new battery, new battery box, new propane selector valve at tanks, and added a new 7 way plug to fit my Dodge.
Began working on things that I thought I'd have to replace such as the A/C, central heat, and the water heater. These were going to be my most expensive fixes. Luckily the A/C was full of dirt dobbers, but after working on it for a hour.....IT WORKS AND BLOWS VERY COLD!!! it's also pulling the proper amps so the motor and compressor is in great condition.
Next was to begin work on the central heater. Removed it from the RV totally and begin cleaning. Cleaned out all dirt dobbers, blower tubes, jets, and housing. Reinstalled in the RV and guess what.....IT WORKS!!

Now I move to the water heater.....started out with NO HOT WATER whatsoever.

So I began removing the fuel valve and found that it was broken, burnt, and not working.

So I began removing EVERYTHING to check it all out......This is what I ended up looking at close to quitting time:

Tomorrow I will replace the old fuel valve with this rebuilt valve:

Tomorrow I will also reseal the entire roof and corners, change the tail lights, fix all marker lights, repack the bearings, check and fix all interior lights and covers, and fix the oven. Top burners work, but I have to clean and fix oven.
Wednesday I will be buying 4 new tires and checking OR changing out brakes.
