                    Cost $12 and about 30 minutes of actual work time. Was an ugly remington 710 with a gray stock. One of the ugliest ever made. Watched alot of you tube videos before going for it.

                            I saw a how too video on the outdoor channel once where the guy was painting a plastic stock like that with Krylon. Before he did it, he hung it (just the stock) from a wire and passed a propane torch over it, just long enough to "burnish" the plastic a bit, then painted. He claimed the heat would burnish the plastic so the paint would stick better.
