When I use to do a lot of day hunts for hogs these pipes work out great to hold the pigs in the area alot longer because they have to work to get the corn instead of being just a herd of vacumes running down the sendero.i have made them a couple ways . One way was like a dog run which is a cable tied of to a couple of trees around 15 to 20 yards apart and then attached the pipe to the line so the pipe is able to be pushed back and forth and its low enough for the pipe to drags the ground which makes the hogs work for the food .I also made the regular type that just roll around the ground and throw in a couple of empty aluminum cans to make noise. These pipes are really great tools for day hunts when your limited on time and scouting . Good luck

was thinking of this strategy to setup 300-400 yds away from my regular setup.
My goal is to have a hog hunting area away from my deer setup.
Q. Heard people add deisel to the corn to keeps the coons and deer off. Is this true? I do not want to kill my deer. I just want them to stay off this setup.

I have a couple of these on my place. they work great. the only problem i have is that they roll it so much they will break the swivel in half and i will find the pipe a good 100 yards away. i have the swivel in place to keep the chain from twisting tight and binding. i have mine chained to a metal t-post with a chain and a piece of the pvc pipe to swivel around the t-post.
