    Corn Blower/Feeder Filler

Does anyone have plans or pictures of how to builder a corn blower contraption for filling feeders? My doc says no more lifting over my head and figured this would probably be the best option.

    Thanks,

    JES

It wouldn't be too hard to make a sort of mechanical grain elevator contraption. You could stick it in the bed of your truck, back up to a feeder, and pour corn into a hopper at the bottom. Slower than just dumping bags, but if you can't lift, it would work.

I think they are out of business-I looked a few months ago and could only find the YouTube videos.

One of the guys on our lease made one but it never worked very well. Biggest issue was feeding corn at the right rate to make it go up the pipe but not so fast as to choke it.

saw an auger-type for sale at a feeder retail store...think it was called "Bad ***** Auger" or something like that

Do some searching on here. I know Tuthdoc had one with a gas powered leaf blower and a 5 gallon bucket several years ago. I will see if I can find it.

Check out Outback Feeders, we have one and it works great. Best investment I ever made.

Made this one 3 yrs ago. Worked as good as the manufactured one owned by another club member and cost a whole lot less. I already had an extra blower at the house.

You will need to form funnel inside the bottom of the bucket to flow out.

do you just attach a leaf blower at the bottom?
